Shree Shaneeshwara Mandir is situated at Bhattipada, Bhandup (West), Mumbai is famous, far and wide, as the shrine of countless devotees.
It is a temple dedicated to Lord Shaneeshwara, Lord Ganesh and Goddess Lakshmi. The temple has a magnificent religious and divine history of more than 39 years (established in 1984), which draws a large number of devotees from far and wide.
The Shree Shaneeshwara Mandir is considered one among the oldest temple in the city.The original temple was renovated and re-structured. Reincarnation of the temple was in the year 2010. In the South Indian style, with a Gopura.The statue of Shree Shaneeshwara were carved from black stone by famous artist Karkala Pervaje Shri Damodar Acharya , Mangalore, Karnataka, India.
The annual festivals (Mahapooja) in which an idol of Shree Shaneeshwara Mandir is taken out on a processing on chariot, attracts a lot of devotees. People come to this temple to pray to lord Shaneeshwara and to offer тАЬTil-DeepaтАЭ.This offering is believed to please Lord Shaneeshwara. The Annual MahaPooja is conducted during annual celebration day i.e in the First Saturday of February month, every year.
There are various religious and cultural activities conducted through out the years which includes Shree Shani Grantha Parayan in Yakshagana Style,Bhajana Program, Vedic Activities etc.
The Shree Shaneeshwara Seva Samiti, a Registered Society (under the Indian Society Act, and Bombay Charity Commissioner Act) looks after the day to day affairs of the Mandir. The trustees/committee members were elected for every five years by following election process and procedures.
The Shree Shaneeshwara Seva Samiti also works for society by helpig a genuine needy for there Medical and Educational needs.
